A clinic completely different from what you have ever seen so far. This clinic is all about how Seth and Ashley Schafer work as a team to train some amazing horses. You will learn their whole process and many great exercises that can help you with your horse. It’s amazing to see them ride horses separate but see how both their trainings tie together at the end.

Seth goes through a full everyday workout with filly that has about 30 days of riding. You can see some other great exercises. Colts are not always easy and perfect, in the video, the filly is not doing the exercises like Seth would like her to, so you will get the chance to see how to overcome some obstacles you might get with colts.

Seth Schafer talks about the main bits he uses on colts to get them perfect before Ashley puts them on the barrels. Ashley gets into details about her favorite bits, why she likes them and when she uses them. She also talks about her favorite saddles and pads.

Seth and Ashley Schafer

Seth has been successful in the arena in multiple events including Saddlebronc riding, steer wrestling, calfroping, team roping and steer tripping. He understands what it takes to be competitive and shows us how he goes about preparing these horses for that pressure from a young age.

 

Ashley has been training barrel futurity horses for 10 years. Some of her notable accomplishments over the years include:
